AFR LSX MONGOOSE STRIP ALUMINIUM CYLINDER HEADS CHEV SB LS1 225CC AFR 1630For the maximum high performing street/strip LS1/LS2/LS6 aluminum cylinder heads, try AFR's street legal (CARB # D250-4) 225cc LS1 Mongoose strip heads. They are specifically designed for Gen III Chevy Corvettes, Camaros, and trucks. AFR's LS1 cylinder heads offer unmatched flow performance and feature 2.080 in. intake and 1.600 in. exhaust valves with AFR's ductile iron interlocking valve seats. These heads are ideal for normally aspirated 396 c.i.d. to 427 c.i.d. engines. Mongoose strip heads are available with 62cc, 65cc, and 72cc combustion chambers. Structural features like Air Flow Research's trademark 3/4 in. thick head deck, a must for blown and nitrous applications, reinforced rocker stud bosses, and thick wall runners provide unparalleled durability. An exclusive new modern combination chamber design with a double quench pad area helps the LS1s generate huge low and mid-lift airflow numbers.
