Based on a Dart Big M tall deck block it is factory finished, machined and assembled with quality parts in darts machine shop. This assembly should allow a customer to complete a build without any further need for machine shop services. This assembly includes the following: Block, Pistons, Rings, Cam and Crank Bearings, Conrods and crankshaft.

Their 2-piece, forged, vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel construction provides outstanding strength, while still weighing much less than stock rods. Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, x-rayed, sonic-tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal. The rods have precision cap alignment sleeves to positively locate each rod cap. They come standard with 190,000 psi rated ARP 8740 and 230,000 psi rated ARP 2000 rod bolts.

Eagle cast steel crankshafts for Chevy feature .092 radii on the rod, main journals, rear seal, and snout for increased strength. Each of these cranks is inspected for dimension, size, and stroke accuracy, has a journal finish of 6 R.A. or less, and has a target bob weight of +/- 2 percent for reduced balancing time.
