As cam profiles become more aggressive to meet the demands of today's sophisticated Solid Lifter Oval Track Applications, increasing oil delivery to the cam lobe-face is critical; especially when higher valve spring pressures are employed. Isky now has special oiling solid lifters available, based around our popular 202-H Chevy and 382-H Ford designs. A .024" oil hole is EDM'd through the cam-face of the lifter, into the pressurized main oil passage of the body. The result is increased oil delivery at all times to the cam lobe-face area with extended cam lobe/lifter life.
Ford Racing Engineers have designed the replacement for the legendary BOSS 351 block using the latest technology and manufacturing techniques from both the production and racing worlds. The BOSS block capability has been proven abound the world both on the track and on the street. By preserving many of the dimensions and features from the original 289-351 blocks, the BOSS blocks are compatible as replacements for use in just about any vehicle that used a Windsor style engine. Cast from diesel grade iron and designed with added material in key areas, BOSS block strength is far superior to any Ford OE block ever produced.
