These Aeroflow Performance Surge Tanks are designed to prevent starving the fuel pumpby increasing the fuelling capability of the fuel system.It is usually installed in vehicles that potentially can experience fuel starvation dueto fuel sloshing around in an inadequately baffled fuel tank/cell. While this can occur in any vehicle when the tank is not fully filled, it is more frequent in vehicles subject to violent changes in directions such as autocross, off-road, drag racing and other types of racing that involve high g-force. The primary fuel pump in the vehicle's main fuel tank will no longer directly feed the engine. Instead, the internal fuel pump will now be used to fill and maintain the level offuel in the surge tank itself.Using a surge tank will now require new external fuel pump/s to be installed after the tank to supply fuel to theengine. The single outlet 2.5 litre tank itself is made from spun aluminium, featuring four female -8 O-ring ports that allow vast variety of adapter fittings tobe placed into various positions around the tank if required. NOTE: if not using all ports ensure to block themwith fittings (sold separately). Included is both barb and AN adapters to choosefrom to go from customer braided lines or rubber hoses depending on application. Each tank is available in polished or black finishes.
