Aeroflow AF96-1000 SBC Bare Engine Block 4.000" Bore 9.02 Deck Main Bear 350
Aeroflow Performance engine blocks are the ideal starting point for any street performance build that demands quality and precision at a reasonable price. Why start your engine build with a worn-out production block from decades ago that needs hours of machine work. When you can start with a new heavy-duty cast iron engine block that is a semi-finished bare engine block that requires very little machining to match your internal components. These brand-new aftermarket engine blocks are cast from premium high-strength Class 32B iron. It features Siamese cylinder bores and splayed billet steel four-bolt main caps with priority main oiling system which direct oil straight to the main bearings. The extra thick standard deck height ensures a reliable head gasket seal as well as allowing the use of off the shelf standard components such as camshaft, timing chain, oil pump/pan and oil filter etc. You can rest assured that these Aeroflow engine blocks have a great foundation for your next engine build.

Important Information:
- Sizes in reference to Deck Height, Cylinder Bore, Wall Thickness, etc, listed in these instructions are Nominal. This Block must be professionally finish machined.
- Due to a vast difference of opinion among professional builders regarding specifications and procedures, all blocks, when purchased bare, are finished within factory +/- tolerances. Tighter than factory or OE specs when applicable.
- Cam bearing OD should be de-burred before installation.
When initially removing main caps, the caps & block should be de-burred before reinstalling; this will insure that correct main size is maintained. - This Block should be assembled by experienced, professional engine builders. Many parameters such as Cylinder Bores will need additional, professional machine work.
- Many pistons are oversized, and cylinder bore must be honed to correct skirt clearance. Very few aftermarket components are drop ins to any engine block, without additional checking/machining.
