Costa Marine is an innovative marine company who manufacture a range of Marine accessories including trailers and stainless steel mufflers and exhausts tips in their fully equipped engineering workshop. After seeing the results of weed and debris being sucked through motors and causing damage to trans coolers, impellers and overheated motors and exhaust systems, Costa Marine decided to develop their own weed strainer. After 6 months of research and development, the CM Weed Strainer was developed and is efficient, functional, easy to fit, easy to empty and most importantly, robust enough to cope with Australian conditions. The CM Weed Strainer is fitted between the pick-up points and the trans cooler/water pump and is designed to allow the maximum amount of water to pass through the weed strainer without reducing the flow. The weed and debris that is sucked up through the pick-up hoses is trapped by the stainless mesh panel. The lid is easily removed and emptying the weed and debris is a very simple process. The CM Weed Strainer is manufactured from 316 stainless steel and fitted with a poly carbonate lid. Small and extremely robust it can be fitted to almost any boat.
