KINSLER DUAL GAUGE LEAKAGE TESTER 0-100 PSI KIN-5980 FOR BARREL VALVE -6 FEMALE
A leakage test is done to determine how far the idle passage ramp is open in the spool. The setting that works best for one engine combination may not work for the other because variables such as fuel pressure, throttle size, idle speed and ignition timing all effect the proper barrel valve "idle" opening. The idle setting, or spool indexing, affects the part throttle fuel delivery.
