That's the philosophy behind Milodon's one-piece pan gaskets. In particular, they end leaks at the corners, where multi-piece gaskets often fall down on the job. They're molded in one continuous piece of rubber, with steel inserts around each bolt hole, so that the bolts can be securely tightened but not over-tightened.
