Available on both hypereutectic and POWERFORGED pistons, DUROSHIELD is an exclusive moly-graphite skirt
coating that extends engine life and essentially eliminates scuffing. This technologically advanced coating is precisely applied to the piston through a computer-controlled process.

DUROSHIELD skirt coated pistons:

  • Reduce friction for increased fuel economy and horsepower
  • Essentially eliminate scuffing and wear
  • Prevent damage from inadequate lubrication, especially at start-up
  • Improve cylinder sealing for less blow-by and more power
  • Require no increase in skirt clearance
